All in all a great buy

Very fast shipping - delivered a week ahead of schedule.



Good packaging - arrived via FedEx a few days after order - boxes in great shape and packaged well.



Worksmanship - seems ok - the wood is stained evenly and the craftsmanship is average or above (especially for the money)



Appearance - great - the stools look great and are really quite sturdy (the splay of the legs is adequate for stability)- and the feel of the fabric/pvc is good - it doesn't feel plastic-y or slippery to sit on but more leather-like to the touch. There isn't a load of cushion on the seat but it's enough for comfort. The tone of the wood is lighter than in the picture but I have mission red oak furniture so this worked out to my advantage as it matches quite nicely. The stools are much bigger width-wise than they appear they would be in the stock photo and are quite comfy to sit on - you don't feel like you'll fall off like you sometimes do on the backless stools.



I've seen similar stools that don't swivel selling for much more elsewhere so it seemed like a good deal. All in all - this was a very good buy and I am pleased and impressed as usual :o)More detail ...

BEAUTIFUL SET OF 2 29 Review

I love these stools they have a sleek and smooth texture. You know black goes with anything. Plus the price were unbelivable. I couldn't believe I was receiving 2 stools for basically 60 bucks plus shipping and handling. Every store I browse for stools one stool was the price of both of those stools put together and they were not swivel. Stores like Pier 1 J.C. Penny Sears Wal-Mart Garden Ridge Target. These stools turn completely around you don't have to get up to turn your stool around if you want to change direction. My husband and I eat our breakfast in the morning before leaving for work at the breakfast bar sitting in those stools. When we are watching the news we just swirl around in the stool. Everything was just like they advertised. I received the stools in the amount time they said I would. I also received an e-mail with the tracking number to let me know the status of my package. Very nice sturdy good value!

I bought 2 of these counter stools and they came mostly assembled (I just had to attach each seat to its base with 4 screws and wing nuts which took about 10 minutes and didn't require any tools). They go nicely with my oak kitchen cabinets and seem very sturdy. I think that they're very good chairs for the price and I would definitely recommend them to a friend.



An assembly tip: With the base upright on the floor I placed the seat on top of the base and inserted the 2 screws nearest the front of the seat down through the metal swivel mechanism and the base. Then I rotated the seat 180 degrees around and inserted the other 2 screws (You have to rotate the seat in order to be able to insert all of the screws because the front of the seat is raised higher than the back). After all 4 screws were inserted down into the base I screwed on the washers and wing nuts. After I figured out that I needed to swivel the seat in order to get the last 2 screws inserted assembly was easy!More detail ...
